What sensors does your car have and what do they do?
Below, we show you some of the most important sensors:
1. Oxygen sensor (lambda)
Measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases. It helps regulate the air-fuel mixture, improving efficiency and reducing emissions.
2. Oil pressure sensor
Monitors engine oil pressure. If a drop is detected, it illuminates the warning light on the dashboard to prevent serious damage.
3. Coolant temperature sensor
Prevent engine overheating and allow the cooling system to activate when necessary.
4. ABS sensor and traction control
Detects wheel rotation to prevent locking during sudden braking or loss of grip on bends or wet surfaces.
5. Crankshaft and camshaft sensor
They allow synchronization of the engine's ignition and injection, ensuring smooth and precise operation.
6. Turbo pressure sensor (MAP)
Regulates engine power and protects the turbo from potential overpressure.
7. Proximity and parking sensor
