The code P0299 means "Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure Low". It's a common code in turbocharged diesel engines and can indicate anything from a minor issue to a serious turbo failure.
What does this code mean?
Your diesel engine uses a turbocharger to increase power by compressing the intake air. The P0299 code triggers when the ECU detects that the boost pressure does not reach the programmed level for the current driving conditions.
