Valve cover, oil pan, crankshaft seal, cylinder head gasket, poorly fitted oil filter, or heat exchanger. Each has its own symptom.
How do we locate the source?
We clean the engine, apply tracer powder or UV ink, and run the car. This way, we see exactly where it's coming from – we don't just blindly change gaskets.
Why it's not advisable to wait
Low oil level means wear and engine seizing. What's more, it stains the timing belt (which could jump) and causes contamination. The sooner you get it sorted, the cheaper.
