The manufacturer suggests 25,000-30,000 km. We recommend 15,000. It's not to sell you more; it's to ensure your engine lasts twice as long. We'll explain why.
Long intervals protect the warranty, not the engine
“Long-life” intervals were designed to reduce maintenance costs under warranty and fleet CO2 emissions. At 30,000 km, the oil has already lost its properties, especially with city driving and cold starts.
What happens with degraded oil
Loses detergency and lubrication ? sludge, turbo wear, EGR valve blockage, and oil consumption. This is most noticeable in modern engines (chain, turbo, direct injection).
Our genuine recommendation
Change every 15,000 km or 1 year (whichever comes first), with the correct specification oil and a new filter. Even better for urban driving in Mallorca. It's cheaper than a repair.
When did you last change the oil?
We diagnose and fix it for you at Zamule Cars Palma. No appointment needed, 12-month warranty, any make.
Frequently asked questions
Won't I lose the warranty by changing it sooner?
No. Changing it more often never voids the warranty; what voids it is not doing it.
Is any oil okay?
No. It must meet your engine's specification (ACEA/manufacturer's approval). We choose it by model.
Filter included?
Yes, always a new filter with every service.
